PURE COLORS

Aportar color es fundamental en interiorismo ya que éste tiene la capacidad de influir tanto en el resultado final de una estancia, puesto que afecta a las proporciones aparentes del espacio, como en el estado de ánimo de las personas, creando a la vez distintos climas y estilos.

Providing color is fundamental in interior design since it has the capacity to influence both the final result of a room, as it affects the apparent proportions of the space, as well as the mood of the people, creating at the same time different climates and Styles.

En la decoración de interiores es importante encontrar un esquema de colores que funcione de manera adecuada. Los hay que funcionan tanto individualmente como en armonía o contraste con otros tonos pero un único detalle de color puede transformar una estancia por completo.

In interior decoration it’s important to find a color scheme that works properly. There are those that work both individually and in harmony or contrast with other tones but a single detail of color can transform a room completely.

REAR WINDOW

Una vivienda con grandes ventanales permite tener una visión privilegiada del exterior pudiendo disfrutar, en algunas ocasiones, de espectaculares vistas tanto de día como de noche.

A house with large windows allows a privileged view of the exterior and you can enjoy, on some occasions, spectacular views both day and night.

Para aprovechar la cantidad de luz natural que entra por estos ventanales el color empleado tanto en techos como en paredes suele ser el blanco o colores cálidos y brillantes ya que intensifican esa luminosidad, aportan una sensación de amplitud y generan una atmósfera especial con una fantástica iluminación.

To take advantage of the amount of natural light that enters these windows the color used in both ceilings and walls is usually white or warm and bright colors as they intensify that luminosity, provide a sense of spaciousness and generate a special atmosphere with fantastic lighting.

Independientemente de la función estética, no hay que olvidarse de que dichos ventanales deben presentar un buen aislamiento acústico y térmico, evitar las filtraciones, tener una buena resistencia y propiciar el ahorro energético.

AL CALOR DEL FUEGO

Las chimeneas eléctricas son cada vez más comunes en nuestras casas ya que suponen una opción de calefacción muy sencilla que se adapta fácilmente a casi cualquier tipo de vivienda. Estéticamente son parecidas a las clásicas chimeneas de leña, pero con ventajas añadidas como puede ser el poder regular la temperatura, el no necesitar salida de humo y el que no produzcan olores, resultando así una opción menos contaminante.

Electric fireplaces are becoming more common in our homes since they involve a simple heating option that easily adapts to almost any type of home. Aesthetically are similar to the classic log fires, but with added benefits as may be to regulate temperature, require no flue and not produce odors, resulting in a cleaner option.

En cuanto a las chimeneas de leña, son una buena opción si habitamos en regiones más frías. Se pueden colocar en la sala central de la casa y hay distintos diseños, los huecos existentes a su alrededor pueden ser aprovechados para guardar la leña o decorarlos con velas, siempre aportando un toque sofisticado y cálido al espacio.

EL SALUDO AL SOL

Una de las teorías para explicar el nacimiento de los espejos de sol es que el rey Luis XIV de Francia en 1653, cuando era un adolescente, adoptó la figura de Apolo, dios del sol, en la interpretación teatral «Le Ballet de la Nuit».  Desde entonces el autoproclamado “Rey Sol” eligió como su emblema una cabeza de Apolo rodeada de rayos de luz y el “espejo sol” sería una derivación de este símbolo ya que fue él quien estableció la primera fábrica de espejos en el norte de Europa, exactamente en la abadía de Saint-Gobain (Francia), llamada la «Manufactura Real de espejos».

One of the theories to explain the birth of the sun mirrors is that King Louis XIV of France in 1653, when he was a teenager, adopted the figure of Apollo, god of the sun, in the theatrical performance «Le Ballet de la Nuit» . Since then the self-proclaimed «Sun King» chose as his emblem an Apollo head surrounded by rays of light and the «sun mirror» would be a derivation of this symbol since it was he who established the first mirror factory in northern Europe, exactly in the abbey of Saint-Gobain (France), called the «Real Manufacture of mirrors».

Seducidos por este tipo de espejo, artistas como el francés Gilbert Poillerat o Line Vautrin  lo popularizaron en el siglo XX. La artesana Vautrin los realizaba en bronce y Talosel,  acetato de celulosa, siendo hoy en día de los más cotizados alcanzando cifras de hasta 60.000 € en Christie’s.

En Estados Unidos vivieron su momento de esplendor en los años 40 y en España fue en los años 60-70. En la actualidad este tipo de espejo ha vuelto con fuerza gracias al resurgimiento del estilo vintage.

Seduced by this type of mirror, artists such as the Frenchman Gilbert Poillerat or Line Vautrin popularized it in the 20th century. The craftswoman Vautrin made them in bronze and Talosel, cellulose acetate, being today the most sought after reaching figures of up to  60,000 € at Christie’s.

In the United States they lived their moment of splendor in the 40s and in Spain it was in the 60s-70s. Nowadays, this type of mirror has returned with strength thanks to the resurgence of the vintage style.

Son la estrella del interiorismo actual; son elegantes, aportan un toque sofisticado, otorgan un aire lujoso y de exclusividad a las estancias y todo ello sin necesidad de añadir ningún otro elemento a mayores.

They’re the star of the current interior design; They’re elegant, they bring a sophisticated touch, they give a luxurious and exclusive air to the rooms and all this without the need to add any other element to the elderly.

Puede ser una pieza muy grande aunque el espejo en sí suele ser pequeño, son los rayos que lo conforman los que lo transforman en un objeto decorativo de gran tamaño que se convierte, sin lugar a dudas, en el punto focal de cualquier estancia.

It can be a very large piece although the mirror itself is small, the rays that make it up become a large decorative element that becomes the place in the focal focal point of the room.

Podemos colocarlos de forma individual, o realizar composiciones con espejos más pequeños de distintos tamaños y diversas tonalidades creando un collage. Lo único a considerar, para que esto funcione, será mantener un equilibrio entre ellos respetando por ejemplo sus siluetas.

We can place them individually, or make compositions with smaller mirrors of different sizes and different tonalities creating a collage. The only thing to consider, for this to work, will be to maintain a balance between them respecting for example their silhouettes.

El dorado es el tono que más nos recuerda al astro solar pero podemos optar por espejos que tengan otros colores.

Las tonalidades plata o metálicas realzarán habitaciones en las que reinen los tonos neutros, fundiéndose y creando paletas de colores muy interesantes.

Gold is the tone that most reminds us of the solar star but we can opt for mirrors that have other colors.

Silver or metallic tonalities will enhance rooms in which neutral tones reign, melting and creating very interesting palettes of colors.

Como puede apreciarse, es una pieza de decoración excepcional que añade glamour y brillo a cualquier espacio ya que no es únicamente un espejo sino una obra de arte magnífica.

As you can see, it’s an exceptional piece of decoration that adds glamor and shine to any space that is not just a mirror and a magnificent work of art.
